Two weeks to go...
...until we head here! Jake and I are gonna escape for a "mini-break," as the Brits call it, with our friends and their two adorable boys. I am so, so excited to get outta dodge for a long weekend. And to my beloved Lake Michigan, no less.

OMG. wish we were coming along. that looks amazing!
I might try to get out to IOP (isle of palms, SC - where my family has a beach house) sometime this summer. but I'd rather be in michigan during the summer, really.
Aw, I wish you were coming along, too!!! The Isle of Palms, though, sounds so exotic to this northern-girl:) How amazing to have a "family beach house"! (northern-girl-beachhouseless-jealousy...) I do hear you, though, on the summer thing. I just remember how thick the air gets in the South, in the summer! It sucks the breath right out of ya. But hey, as long as you're by the water...
